Hi, I am an architect and I am researching garage doors for a new garage building project in New York. We are interested in bifolding doors that raise up, in glass. The garage will house the owner's collection of luxury sports cars, so viewing in from the outside through clear glass will be important. Can you please suggest what product will suit this function?

I installed one of your smaller single strap bi fold doors in a new barn back in 2017. Works well. Now looking for two doors (about 12' high, 10'wide) for winery warehouse in New York. Frame is wood, timber-frame, w/SIP panel insulation, but metal siding inside and out. What would be my cost for 2 doors with thermopane glass in top panel vs metal clad, insulated doors with large(ish) windows in the top panels?

Hi Schweiss Door, My name is Hancheng Chen, and I am a project manager at Carol DiCicco Vinci Architects. We specialize in designing luxury condominiums in The Hamptons and Manhattan. We are currently working on a new project in Water Mill, The Hamptons, New York which requires two bi-folding garage doors. The doors will be installed side by side with a 16" spacing, separated by an HSS 8x6x5/8 structural member. The dimensions of the HSS are adjustable. Additionally, the doors will be clad with a 5" vertical wood rainscreen. We’d like to coordinate construction with your team and aim to send the bid package to the general contractor by mid-December. Potential project is a 3-season (unconditioned, no insulation) building housing batting cages for a college baseball team in New York. Butler style portal frame structure, 60' x 90' with 5 structural bays on the long side. 6 doors in total, 4 on one long side, 2 on one short side. The doors in question would be open during the day in the warmer months to be an open-air building. No vehicles are intended to travel through the doors.
