We are thinking of a 14' wide door with a clearance of 14'.(14x16 opening) in Florida. I need to consider he additional cost of installing this type door onto our Garage plans to the architect. Including weight and structure attachment considerations.

I'm getting a 40 x 100 to 50 x 100 red steel building quoted out in Florida. I'm interested in doing this style of door i really wanted a 50x100 with 3 14ft doors ( i have box trucks that are about 13' high. What options do you have that would make sense for this. We are about to build an RV garage/mother-in-law suite and are interested in a bi-fold door for the RV access. We live in Florida (Wind Speed 153 3 sec gust, exposure D) and would appreciate more information on your doors so we can budget and plan appropriately. We would like the finish to appear residential rather than industrial; however, we do not live in an area with strict architectural standards. Hello, Bhalendu Gautam this side, I am an Architectural designer at Arcadis. We are looking for overhead doors options to use as basis design for an ongoing project of Bus maintenance and operations facility for Broward County transit, Pompano Beach, Florida. We have two large openings of size 60’x14’ each on this project where we would need to provide these doors. As Broward and Dade counties in Florida are high velocity hurricane zone (HVHZ), and there are specific building code requirements within this zone that must be met. Whichever door we decide to use as a basis of design will need to meet the wind load requirements as well as the wind-borne debris impact requirements. We need confirmation that your doors will be able meet these requirements on way or another before we consider using them. This is a for a publicly funded project.
