Arm Latch System Using a Center Latch Strap
Schweiss designed the Arm Latch to use a Center Latch Strap instead of steel cables. The Center Latch Strap design sets us apart from others that are using cables to latch their door in tight. “Gone are the cables and clamps”, Schweiss says! The new modernized design auto latch using straps is durable and outlasts steel cables.
Schweiss Doors design team came out with patented lift strap doors in 1998; a proven design for over 26 years. Now offering the new Strap Latch “total strap design” is the most recent major breakthrough in the bifold door industry, and it comes only from Schweiss Doors.
Some manufacturers still continue to try and sell cable lift bifold doors - cable doors that not only require frequent maintenance due to fraying, breaking and overwrapping, but which also open much slower, are hard to adjust, are not as safe as straps, and are noisier than lift strap doors.
