We are an authorized Nucor Building Systems builder. My customer is building 2 hangars at the Colorado city airport. Both buildings have 60 x 18 framed openings for vertical bifold rental hangar doors that will require auto latches and remotes. It is anticipated that the buildings will erect in October of 2022. IBC 2018 II Standard risk 25# Ground Snow 100 MPH wind exp. C Ss= 0.420 S1= 0.142 Site class D (assumed)

I am considering a small private aircraft rental bifold hangar (approx. 48x48) and need to know approximate costs of a door. I am just guessing, but 40x14' seems about right for most Cessnas, etc. but would like to extend its size one foot wider and one foot taller.

Hi im am in need of a rental hangar door for a 55wide by 18 tall Quonset hangar. i would like the door to have a 42' opening and a minimum of 10' high finished opening with door up.i m interested in your free standing header but am worried about the the height of the header itself. (if the height is 3' will it interfere with my inside or outside dimensions) Also for a 10' opening will my door have to be alot taller and cost more? could you please give me a bid on the header and a door only? The hangar we are building is a multi-rental hangar. there are six 46' wide x 18' high hangar doors and one 92' wide x 18' high hangar door. We would like to install 7 of Schweiss' one-piece hydraulic doors.

I have been asked to quote 10 small airplane hangers and would like to use your bi-fold rental hangar door system for the aircraft access in the end wall, the building's will be 50' X 50' with a 18' eave height, the owner has requested the doors be 45' wide. I think that with the potential of purchasing 10 doors over a span of 18 months it would be in my best interest to inquire about becoming a dealer for your product, further more any tech data I would need to submit to the metal building manufacturer would also be of a great help.

I have one of your larger bi-fold liftstrap doors in my hangar at the Airport (Built 2005). I want to enter into a long-term lease with the United States Forest Service, but they require three things on my Schweiss Door I don't have and need to have: 1) A way to open the bi-fold door when there is a power outage, 2) Door operation controls on BOTH sides of the door where now I have only one set of controls, and 3) An electronic "safety shut off" eye that will halt the door operation similar to today's standard garage doors. I would like to find out what options Schweiss may have concerning these three issues and how I can resolve them. Thank You. Brad Larkin

I'm building a 50X60X18 global use glider plane hangar. What is the maximum size door that can be put on the 50 foot wide wall? Also, what would be the maximum door open clearance with a 18 foot building height? Hangar door rental without a Schweiss door is eating me up.

We are wanting a Schweiss quality made small maintenance rental hangar door (warm with sandwich panels) at airfield. Hangar will be steel construction of 13.50 meters width, 20 meters depth and 4.00  meters height. Wall cladding consists of 100 mm sandwich panels. Hangar door opening should be 12.50 clear width and up to 3.50 meters clear hight. What does a hangar door (3.50 m high and 12.50 m wide) cost a) bifold straplift hangar  door? b) hydraulic one piece hangar door?

Bought a Schweiss bifold strap door a couple of years ago and it works very well. Now I need a hangar door for my wife so we don't have to rent a hangar. She flies a Citabria, and Schweiss hangar door should be six feet wider than total wing span. Total hangar door height of 14 ft.

We recently broke the pedestrian door knob. Can you send a new keyed lock system, or is it something we can purchase locally for our door? We are leasing the hangar at this time and would like to convert to a liftstrap door, but need to stay with cable system door. Thanks
